Each summer the Institute of Tax Law (Professor Joachim Englisch) and JurGrad offer a one-week summer course covering the basic principles of international tax law, moving on to discussing selected topics in more detail. The preceding “Introductory Course” familiarizes with the basics, terms and definitions of international tax legislation; the following “Advanced Course” allows to increase in-depth knowledge of various topics of international taxation and to discuss various cases with an international audience. Taxation experts from international law firms and universities are among the faculty. All lectures are held in English. After passing the final exam (90 minutes test) a certificate is issued for successful participation.
The Introductory Session covers 23 lessons and takes place 20 – 22 June 2016, 9 am – 6 pm.
The Advanced Session covers 20 lessons and takes place 23/24 June 2016, 9am – 6 pm

Münster is a city with many facets: Founded in 793, the city has a long and illustrious history which still seems to echo through time in the mediaeval buildings of the historic old town which harmoniously contrasts to the modern architecture seen in the city’s new buildings. Münster is a city of science and learning and a German capital city of bicycles. The university founded in 1780 is the largest employer of the region and it’s more than 40.000 students create a young and vivid atmosphere.
We take care of reservations for dinner at different places across the city for our participants during the summer course. Experience Münster beyond international taxation and take some time to stroll around the city and visit modern restaurants or traditional student pubs.
All lectures will take place at the "Kettelerscher Hof", Königsstrasse 51-53, 48143 Münster, which is located in the centre of Münster close to the main building of the Faculty of Law.
We do not provide accommodation. However, there are discounts available in certain hotels in Münster for the participants. You will receive a directory of possible accommodation together with your confirmation of enrolment.
